There are only a few more weeks left before Google Analytics Universal’s sunset, and as you know, Dashthis is dedicated to providing you with the best tools and the latest info on GA4.
We understand the challenges and complexities of migrating from Google Analytics to GA4, and that's why our development efforts are currently dedicated to creating solutions that simplify the migration process and help you perform better reporting.
This blog post will share exciting updates, features, and news from DashThis, designed to help you with your GA4 migration journey!
We are thrilled to announce that we will soon release a conversion feature that allows you to effortlessly map the metrics and dimensions used in your existing widgets and dashboards. This tool is designed to migrate your dashboards with UA data to GA4, minimizing manual interactions and saving time. This will be available sometime in June, so stay tuned!
We recently launched the Widget Bundle feature, which can be found directly in your dashboards. This tool is available to help you quickly add multiple widgets at once. Each preset bundle created and curated by our marketing team includes the most important KPIs related to its specific category, for example, SEO and Website traffic. We heard your feedback and are also working on a preview and undo options for this feature.
We are releasing a fresh set of GA4 templates to enhance your reporting capabilities. These templates meet various reporting needs across different industries and metrics. More templates will be added in the following weeks.
Additionally, we created educational content for our help center, which will provide comprehensive guidance and insights to assist you throughout the migration process. If you haven’t read our migration guides, you can read part one here and part two here.
While Google plans to shut down Universal Analytics (UA), we understand the importance of preserving your historical data. That's why we are working on a tool enabling you to archive your UA dashboards. These archived dashboards will remain accessible in view-only mode, allowing you to retain and consult the history of your most critical KPIs even after the shutdown. We believe it’s a more user-friendly way of keeping your most crucial data without downloading many PDF reports or CSV files.
The quota limit for Google Analytics API has been significantly expanded, nearly ten times its previous capacity. In response, we have implemented a range of optimizations in our API utilization to achieve optimal outcomes. Upon reviewing our logs, we have observed that the quota limitations, both from Google and our efforts at DashThis, have had minimal impact on our users, which is fantastic news!
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue communicating essential updates and feature development in our newsletter and app. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact our support team.
Happy reporting!
